AHA Peel with NeoStrata

A superficial peel with alpha hydroxy acids from NeoStrata: it loosens dead skin cells and supports the skin's natural renewal – usually as a course of four to six sessions.

Skin renewal with a system

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) – commonly known as fruit acids – are among the well-researched active ingredients in aesthetic skincare. We work with professional systems from NeoStrata, a brand that grew out of research into alpha hydroxy acids.

The peel loosens the bonds between dead skin cells and supports the skin's natural cell renewal. Fine lines, uneven pigmentation, blemishes and enlarged pores may as a result stand out less clearly; the complexion often appears smoother and more even.

The concentration is increased gently from one treatment to the next, so that the skin becomes used to the active ingredients in a controlled way. A course of four to six sessions is usual; the result varies from person to person.

How the AHA peel works

  1. Consultation and skin analysis We check whether an AHA peel is suitable for your skin, and at what concentration.
  2. Preparation The skin is cleansed and degreased; if you wish, we prepare it beforehand with a matching NeoStrata home-care routine.
  3. The peel The fruit acid is applied evenly, the contact time is monitored and the peel is then neutralised.
  4. Skincare and sun protection A soothing skincare application and consistent UV protection conclude every session.

Frequently asked questions

Which products are used for the AHA peel?
SKIN. works with professional AHA systems from the NeoStrata brand. The concentration is chosen individually and increased gently over the course of a treatment series.
How many sessions are usual?
A course of four to six sessions two to four weeks apart is usual. How many sessions make sense for you is something we discuss in the consultation.
Can you feel the peel while it is working?
A slight tingling or feeling of warmth during the contact time is normal and subsides quickly once the peel has been neutralised.
Does the skin flake after an AHA peel?
Usually there is only fine, barely visible flaking. Immediately after the treatment the skin may be slightly red.
What should I bear in mind during the course?
Daily sun protection with a high sun protection factor matters throughout the whole course. Sunbeds and intensive sun exposure should be avoided.
Who is an AHA peel not suitable for?
With acute inflammation, broken skin, certain pre-existing conditions or when taking photosensitising medication, a peel may be unsuitable. We clarify this in person before every treatment.
What side effects are possible?
Temporary redness, burning, dryness and flaking are possible, and less often persistent redness, pigment changes following inflammation, or the reactivation of a herpes infection. We explain all of this to you in person beforehand.
