From early flushing to inflammation
Rosacea typically progresses in stages: at first fleeting facial flushing (couperose), later persistent redness caused by dilated vessels, and finally inflammatory papules and pustules. The eyes may also be involved.
Treatment according to stage
We treat inflammatory forms with anti-inflammatory creams over several weeks and, where the condition is more pronounced, with antibiotic tablets. Permanently dilated thread veins can be closed for good with the KTP laser. In addition, we advise you on trigger factors and suitable skincare.
Skin affected by rosacea needs careful handling. In our skincare department SKIN. we carry out gentle deep cleansing and – if the skin tolerates it – mild peels, always coordinated with your medical treatment. We also advise you on low-irritation cleansing, suitable active ingredients and sun protection.
