Psoriasis

Psoriasis is more than a skin disease – and today it can be treated better than ever before. Modern systemic therapies allow many of those affected to live almost free of visible signs.

What psoriasis means

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory, non-contagious condition that runs in flares. Alongside the typical scaly plaques, nail changes may occur; around 20 per cent of those affected develop joint involvement (psoriatic arthritis) – something we watch for consistently.

Modern treatment options

Mild forms respond well to topical treatment. For moderate and severe courses, modern systemic therapies are available, up to biologic injections that interrupt the inflammation in a targeted way. Together we find the treatment that fits your life.
