What Skin Cancer Screening PLUS+ includes
With Skin Cancer Screening PLUS+, moles that are conspicuous or require monitoring are photographed at high resolution. The images are transmitted to an AI algorithm, which contributes to their assessment, and are then archived in your file. The decision as to whether a mole is monitored or removed is always made by the doctor.
The archived images allow your skin to be assessed over time: at the follow-up appointment, every mole is compared image by image with its previous photograph, so that changes become objectively visible. In addition, overview images of entire body areas are taken – comparing them makes it possible to see whether new moles have appeared.

Skin Cancer Screening PLUS+ is a self-pay service (IGeL) and is invoiced in addition to the screening. As a medical treatment, the service is exempt from VAT. Private health insurers usually reimburse skin cancer screening including PLUS+.
